Hi.

Welcome to my blog. I document my adventures in board games! Find out how they play and what is good enough to "Leave it on the Table"

Dragonwood - Review

Our first playthrough of the simple set collection card game,  "DRAGONWOOD" where the players are adventurers traveling the countryside capturing viscous creatures.

Tom Vasel' kids really liked it,  but would us two gamers?  The game is very simple,   the goal is to have the most victory points at the end of the game,  which is either after the adventurer deck runs out the second time,  or after both dragons have been captured.

The players collect cards to either "strike, stomp, or scream" at the creatures.  A strike= straight, the stomp= series of athe same number, while a scream= same color.

The number of cards you decide to use to either capture a creature or a weapon enhancement will equal the number of dice you roll.  If the dice roll equals or exceeds the number on the creature then you have captured the creature (or enhancement).

This would make for a phenomenal game to introduce newbies to card gaming or to simply play with children.  We enjoyed it because it was a simple rummy style game that is nice to play before bedtime without exciting all that adrenaline inside.

My wife killed me after capturing BOTH dragons (cuuuuuuurse youuuuuuuu!!)

Well, she said it...

She said, "LEAVE IT ON THE TABLE!!"
